ECKMEA District Honor Choir

The Wildcat Choir program recently found out that 16 students were selected to be a part of the East Central Kansas Music Educator’s Association District Honor Choir.   This is a prestigious honor and will be an incredible experience for our students.  They will get to work with nationally known clinicians and go on to compete

State Solo Festival Results

DHS had another strong showing at the regional solo festival yesterday at Mill Valley HS. We are proud of all our students who performed. Couch Receives Choir Honor

Simon Couch has earned a very high honor achieved by very few and only one other DHS student 10 years ago!  Via an extensive audition process he has been named to the Southwest American Choral Directors Association Honors Choir of Juniors & Seniors.  This  involves students from Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, New Mexico, and yes,

Wildcats Perform at the De Soto Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting

The DHS Band had a great time Saturday evening performing Christmas Carols at the De Soto Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting.  This annual event takes place the first Saturday in December and is a great way to connect with the De Soto community.
