3 Wildcat Wrestlers competed in the KSHSAA Class 4A State Wrestling Tournament on Friday and Saturday. All 3 fought hard but fell short of placing this year. Winter Sports Seniors Honored

On February 18th De Soto High School honored seniors that participated in boys basketball, girls basketball, boys swimming, bowling, cheerleading and dance team. The Wildcat wrestlers finished 10th as a team out of 15 teams this weekend and we qualified 3 wrestlers for the KSHSAA Class 4A State Wrestling tournament in Salina next weekend: Junior Lawson Marshall placed 4th at 220lbs. Frontier League Wrestling Tournament

The Wildcat Wrestlers competed in the League Dual Tournament this past weekend, Friday and Saturday, February 12-13. The Wildcat Wrestlers competed in the Beloit Invitational this past Friday, Jan. 22 & Saturday, Jan. 23. The tournament saw many State Tournament level opponents this year and featured the #1, # 4, # 5 ranked 4A teams and the #3, #5, #6, and #9 ranked 3A teams. Paola-Emporia Duals

The Wildcat wrestlers went 1-1 last night. The wrestlers had a tough one against Emporia losing 54-12, but then were able to get a victory against Paola wining 39-33. Nate Panagakis was the top performing Wildcat with 2 pins on the evening.

Wrestling Competes at Derby Invitational

Six Wildcat Wrestlers competed in the Derby Invitational Friday, January 8th and Saturday, January 9th. The tournament featured the #2 ranked 4A school, the #1, #3, #6, and #10 ranked 5A schools and the #7 ranked 6A school as well as a ranked team from Blackwell, Oklahoma. It was a tough weekend for the Wildcats.

Wrestling Competes at Eudora

The Wildcat wrestlers competed at the Eudora Invitational on  Friday, December 11th and Saturday, December 12th. The tournament featured 23 teams, with multiple state ranked teams. The Wildcats finished 16th as a team. De Soto had 6 wrestlers who finished in the top 8 in their weight divisions: Chase Carter-138lbs and Michael Zuchowski-220lbs. : 8th
