2018 Huhtamaki Hardwood Classic

De Soto High School is excited to announce the 2018 Huhtamaki Hardwood Classic Basketball Tournament. This basketball tournament will begin on Monday, December 3 and run through Saturday, December 8. Jared Baruth Named to the GKCBCA All Academic Team

Jared Baruth, a DHS Senior, was recently named to the Greater Kansas City Basketball Coaches Association’s All Academic Team. Congratulations to Jared on this accomplishment! This also marks the third straight year that the De Soto Wildcats Boys Basketball team has been represented on the GKCBCA All Academic Team!

Basketball Post Season Honors

Four De Soto Wildcat Basketball Players received post season honors recently. From the Girls Basketball team: Mackenzie Shupe was named 1st Team All Frontier League, All State Honorable Mention by Sports in Kansas, and All State Honorable Mention by the Topeka Capital Journal. From the Boys Basketball team: Levi Hansen was named Honorable Mention All

Frontier League Champions

The De Soto Wildcats Boys Basketball team finished the Frontier League in 1st place with a record of 9-3. Their 61-52 victory over Baldwin sealed the championship for them. Congratulations to the 2018 Wildcat Basketball team and coaches for their hard work and League Championship!
