The Wildcats traveled to Spring Hill High School on Friday, October 4th to play the Broncos in a non conference match up.
After the 1st quarter the Wildcats and Broncos were tied at 0-0. The Wildcats found the endzone during the 2nd quarter when Jackson Miller completed a 53 yard pass to Tyson Priddy. Eli Gratz added the PAT. The Wildcats would take their 7-0 lead to the half. The 3rd quarter did not see any scoring happen. Then during the 4th quarter Jackson Miller found the endzone on a 33 yard run. Eli Gratz added his second PAT of the night and the Wildcats would finish the game with a 14-0 lead over Spring Hill for a victory.
The De Soto offense moved the ball effectively all night accumulating 367 total yards, 103 passing and 264 rushing. The Wildcat Offense also accumulated 17 first downs. The Wildcat defense held Spring Hill to 134 total yards on 52 plays and had two takeaways, Zach Willis with an interception and Jonah Reynolds with a fumble recovery. The Wildcats moved to 5-0 overall on the season with the 14-0 win over Spring Hill. They be on the road again next week when they travel to Basehor-Linwood High School in a United Kansas Conference game.
