Diamonds Dance · Anna Meissbach Named Head Diamonds Coach


De Soto High School is excited to announce that Anna Meissbach will be our new De Soto Diamonds Head Coach for the 2021-22 school year. Coach Meissbach currently teaches at Monticello Trails Middle School as a 7th Grade Pathways teacher. Anna began her dance training at the age of 3 in Lawrence, Kansas at Dance Gallery. Under the direction of Karen Fender, Anna was trained in all styles including tap, lyrical, jazz, musical theater, acrobatics, and contemporary. Throughout her time as a competitive dancer Anna received numerous overall awards and judges choice awards recognizing her movement and performance qualities. Anna also received two duet/trio National Championships while dancing with Dance Gallery. Anna was an NDA All-American for all three years of her time on the Lawrence High Pom Squad. Upon graduating from high school, Anna attended K-State where she started her career in dance education teaching at multiple studios in Manhattan, choreographing and dancing with the K-State Singers, as well as choreographing for homecoming every year. Anna graduated from K-State in 2014 with Bachelors in History and French and her Master of Arts in Teaching for middle and high school students in 2020. She continues to train today attending conventions and teacher intensives across the country! Coach Meissbach stated, “I’m so excited to join the Wildcat coaching family and share my passion for dance with the De Soto community!”
