Shawnee Mission’s North Relays definitely the toughest, most competitive track meet in the metro. Large 5A and gigantic 6A schools from across the city, in addition to numerous other schools from across the state come to showcase their best athletes. It isn’t uncommon to hear the announcer share a new state fastest time or farthest distance, sometimes even a national ranking. Every athlete is prime for an outstanding performance as their training tapers down with the season.

A small but mighty group, the wildcat t&f squad came to compete. In all our years of the North Relays, we have never had a team bring some so many medals and rank to high as a team at the end of the meet. The boys team finished 5th overall with 39 points and the girls 12th with 22 points. The girls team was entirely carried by Kelsey Heer and Emily Fuhr and their fantastic performances in the throws!
