Boys Varsity Swimming · BVSW Swim Meet Results

The meet at Blue Valley Southwest was a pivotal moment for our team to say the least.  I could not be more proud of these guys than I am right now.  Almost every single race resulted in a new best time, and some best times were significant.  These guys have worked so hard all season, even with gaps in their training.  Our season is broken up by Thanksgiving, winter break, Martin Luther King Day, weather, and so much more.  Despite the difficulties of maintaining a consistent practice schedule, this team continues to rally and races their hearts out!  It was made clear today that the De Soto swimmers are motivated, determined, and ready to work.  The competition today was incredibly difficult and the points don’t give a clear picture of the successes today brought about.  I can’t wait to celebrate the guys on Monday and dote on them at practice.  Here is a summary of the point winning finishes today:

200 medley relay (Cole Peterson, Andre VanMeerhaeghe, Eli Gratz, Cale Marquis)- 14th place

200 free relay (Andre VanMeerhaeghe, Cale Marquis, Andrew Blazo, Eli Gratz)- 12th place

400 free relay (Andrew Blazo, Jose Banuelos, Aydan VanMeerhaeghe, and Cole Peterson)- 17th place

Our next meet is Thursday, January 25th at Blue Valley West.
