Boys Varsity Swimming · Boys Swimming Results from the Turner Meet

Our first official high school meet took place this evening at Turner High School.  The DHS athletes went out to race the clock and set a baseline for what they hope to achieve this season.  For some, it was their very first official high school meet.  For others, it was an opportunity to race with new teammates and see how they compared to last year’s swims.  The De Soto swimmers did a great job of showing off what they’ve worked so hard to do.  We have an entire season of competition ahead of us.  Learn from these moments and prepare yourselves to do even better next time.  Here are our point winning races from this evening:

200 medley relay (Cole Peterson, Andre VanMeerhaeghe, Eli Gratz, and Andrew Blazo) – 6th place
Eli Gratz- 7th in the 100 fly
Andre VanMeerhaeghe- 12th in the 100 free and 7th in the 100 breast
Andrew Blazo- 14th in the 100 breast
200 free relay (Andre VanMeerhaeghe, Cole Peterson, Eli Gratz, and Andrew Blazo)- 9th place

Our next meet isn’t until January.  In the meantime, we look forward to training, setting goals, and improving with every practice.  Great job, Wildcats!
