Forensics Results from S.M. South

A small team traveled to Shawnee Mission South this Saturday and brought home three medals. Aspen Grieshaber placed 2nd in Dramatic Interpretation. Kierstyn Mascareno placed 3rd in Prose Interpretion. Trevor Whitlow placed 5th in Original Oration. This is the second time Keirstyn and Aspen have placed high enough to qualify for the state tournament.

Members of the DHS Debate Team traveled to Basehor-Linwood High School to compete in the Basehor-Linwood Debate Invitational on Saturday, November 19th. Ethan Iddings and Luke Millman went 5-0 in the Novice Division of the Louisburg Debate Tournament on Saturday, November 12th. Their 5-0 finish was good enough to win the tournament overall. Congratulations Ethan and Luke!

On Saturday, October 30th the Wildcat Debate team traveled to Spring Hill High School to compete in the Spring Hill Invitational. They finished the day’s competition in 1st Place! Congratulations Wildcats and keep up the great work!

Here are the results from Saturday’s State Tournament Trevor Whitlow- Finalist and 5th place medalist in Original Oration only top 6 get medals Keirstyn Mascareno- Semi Finalist in 2 events: Prose and Humorous Solo (top 12 in state) Rex Templin- Semi Finalist in Impromptu Speaking (top 12 in state) DHS finished 18th out of 50 teams
